The Historical Society offers the region a variety of programs designed to highlight and celebrate our area’s rich history. The schedule of 2018 events is below. Note that unless otherwise noted, most programs take place at 3pm at the Newburgh Heritage Center in the Old Courthouse at 123 Grand Street (across from the Library).

October 24, 2018, 7-8:30pm – New York City’s vast water supply system passes under Newburgh and is having a massive overhaul. Learn about the operation ofthe nation’s largest water supply system from its construction in the early 20th century to the current Delaware Aqueduct By-Pass being drilled under the Hudson from Newburgh to Wappnger. Adam Bosch, Director of Public Affairs for the D.E.P. will present this illustrated talk in the Great Room of SUNY’s Kaplan Hall.
