In November, we happily welcomed Marci Gurton to the board of trustees. A former development director with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh (2008-2011), Ms. Gurton has an intimate understanding of Newburgh, and a passion for its history and residents. She holds a Master’s degree in anthropology from the New School for Social Research and is currently employed as the Grants Manager, Corporate & Foundation Relations, with the West Point Association of Graduates at the United States Military Academy.
While residing in the City of Newburgh, Marci also worked with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County, conducted large-scale research for Mount Saint Mary College, and helped facilitate the National Trust for Historic Preservation case study of historic homes. Ms. Gurton currently lives in a tiny house in Highland Mills and enjoys hiking, photography, and good meals with friends.
